Artist's Description

Include a part of maritime history from the 1920's to your collection with this photo of one of only a handful of cement ships ever constructed. This is the SS Sapona which ran aground and was shipwrecked in 1926 and then dragged out to this location for a permanent resting spot.

The Sapona is located south of Bimini in the Bahamas photographed in approximately 15-20 feet of water.

Our underwater photograph of the Sapona cement deck, and above-water of a young man jumping off the deck are perfect companions to this image.
